Benaulim Beach - Cansaulim Beach

Day three of Goa trek is a long flat 11 kilometers walk starting from Benaulim beach to Cansaulim beach. In between we covered multiple very famous south Goa beaches. This place is ideal for hang out with friends during vacation. South Goa beach is a wonderful place, clean beach, less crowded and an ideal place for new year parties. A nice place for some sports activities likes speed boats, parasailing, and many other water sports etc.

Goa Trek – Day 2 – Miramar Beach to Dona Paula

Day three of our trek starts from YH campsite again. It’s one hour 30 minutes drive to Benaulim beach, south Goa. Enjoy the local bus journey to this place. You get to see too many bridges, river crossing, marshland, mangroves, birds etc on the way. We had to walk a bit for about 5 to 10 minutes to reach the beach. Benaulim beach is an ideal place to hangout with your friends, local bars for those who drink, too many foreigners enjoying their vacation. We took our own time and enjoyed for about an hour before starting off with the long 11 km walk.

We packed our bags and continued walking all the way. Covered most of the so called famous beaches in southern Goa in no time. We covered Sernabatim beach, Colva beach, Betalbatim beach, Sunset beach, Majorda beach, Utorda beach, Arossim beach. This is an ideal place to be for many reasons. I could see water sports, parasailing, surfing, boating, kids playing, fishing, beach volleyball and people who were drunk as well. I even saw family photo shoots in the coast and destination wedding events taking place. Most of the resorts and good hotels are located in this region of Goa.

A little further walk would have taken us to Cansaulim beach, but as it was too dark we took at right at Arossim beach and entered the residential area. It was nice to go through this area, as it was Christmas and new year time and we were lucky to see the events that were taking place in the local area as we walked along the road through the coconut plantation till we reached Campal Sports Complex. We spent time for a while outside exploring the place. We had permission to stay at this sports complex and could stay indoor. Camping next to the beach or under coconut trees would have been more fun, but you need to be careful of the high tide.

It was great fun in the beach even though it was a long flat walk. Follow me on social media for more updates on trekking and photography. Day 4 of Goa trek is where we enter the rain forest in the western ghats. Subscribe to my blog to get the next update in your inbox.
